
In a statement to the press following his talks with Mr. BinMubarak, Mr. Bourita, reiterated the clear position of Morocco supporting legality in Yemen and the role of the presidential council and the legitimate government.
He also stressed the Kingdom's support to the territorial integrity and national sovereignty of Yemen, as well as the condemnation of all attempts by the terrorist group of Houthis and those who support it to undermine the stability of Yemen and the tranquility of its citizens.
He said that the resolution of the Yemeni crisis must be based on dialogue and international and Arab references, objects of consensus, in respect of the legality in Yemen, represented by the Presidential Council and the government.
Morocco will always stand by Yemen, in accordance with the High Instructions of HM King Mohammed VI, he stressed, highlighting the depth of bilateral relations and their deep-rooted human character, as well as their solid foundations, based on sincere brotherhood and active and continuous solidarity.
For his part, the Yemeni minister told the press that "Yemen reiterates its constant and solid position of principle towards issues of interest to Morocco, including the question of the Kingdom's territorial integrity".
He stressed the need to move forward towards the development of bilateral relations and to materialize the points agreed upon during his visit to the Kingdom, including the granting of scholarships to Yemeni students, the facilitation of entry procedures for Yemenis in Morocco and other issues of consular character and those inherent in the dialogue and political consultation.
He reaffirmed his country’s determination to coordinate with Morocco in all issues of Arab or international dimension, stating broad prospects for action and bilateral cooperation.
He also congratulated the Kingdom for the success of the 9th Global Forum of the UN Alliance of Civilizations, held in Fez, noting that the holding of this event in Morocco confirms the centrality of the Arab-Muslim civilization.
