Burkina Faso Reiterates its Support for Morocco's Territorial Integrity
Monday 23 November 2020
Burkina Faso has reiterated its support for the territorial integrity of Morocco, while expressing its solidarity with the Moroccan people.
In a statement of its Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Burkina expressed its deep concern over the illegal actions undertaken by the Polisario, as well as the restoration of lasting peace between the parties.
Ouagadougou also said that it has been following with particular attention the operations and actions undertaken by the Polisario militias in the buffer zone of El Guerguarat, preventing the free movement of people and goods.
On this occasion, Burkina Faso called for "the immediate cessation of these actions which are a blow to the efforts of the United Nations Secretary-General aimed at achieving a political solution to the Moroccan Sahara issue.”
