
The embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco (in Beijing) informs the Moroccan community residing in China that within the framework of its permanent contacts with the Chinese authorities concerning the situation created by the outbreak of the coronavirus, the government of the People's Republic of China has informed it that "everything will be done to ensure the safety, health and well-being of Moroccan nationals residing in China, particularly in the city of Wuhan and Hubei province".
Initially, the embassy had announced that it was in permanent contact with the Chinese authorities and with the Moroccan community living in China to monitor their situation following the outbreak of the new coronavirus in the city of Wuhan (Hubei province) and in other Chinese cities.
To confront this situation, the Moroccan diplomatic representation in Beijing had called on members of the Moroccan community in China to be vigilant and to follow all the preventive measures recommended by the Chinese authorities, given that the World Health Organization had not yet described the situation as a "health emergency".
The embassy also set up, on Saturday, a crisis cell for the benefit of members of the Moroccan community residing in China, to monitor their situation following the outbreak of this new coronavirus and its spread in China's main cities.
