COVID-19: NOTE VERBALE TO DIPLOMATIC MISSIONS AND INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS ACCREDITED IN MOROCCO
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates presents its compliments to the Diplomatic Missions and to the International Organizations accredited in Rabat and has the honor to bring to their attention that, within the framework of the state of emergency to combat the Covid-19 pandemic, the Moroccan authorities have decided to ban night travel from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. during the month of Ramadan.
During this period of stopping overnight travel, exceptional travel permits issued by local authorities will be suspended as well as work travel permits issued by the public and private sectors. Honorable Diplomatic Missions and International Organizations are asked to invite their distinguished agents to comply with this decision.
To respond to any emergency, each Diplomatic Mission and International Organization has the possibility of designating a diplomatic agent who will be authorized to travel beyond 7 p.m.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates invites the Diplomatic Missions and International Organizations to inform it, by Note Verbale, of the identity and the plate number of the vehicle of the designated diplomat, for this purpose, by the Head of Mission.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates seizes this opportunity to renew to the Diplomatic Missions and International Organizations the assurances of its high consideration.
