The Government of the Commonwealth of Dominica welcomed the decision of the United States to recognize the sovereignty of the Kingdom over the entire Moroccan Sahara region and to open a U.S. Consulate in Dakhla.
In a statement issued by its Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Friday, Dominica believes that "this decision solidifies the Moroccannes of the Sahara" and reaffirms the idea that "the autonomy initiative under Moroccan sovereignty is the only basis for a just and lasting solution to this regional dispute."
The Commonwealth of Dominica also reiterated its strong solidarity and unwavering support for the sovereignty of the Kingdom of Morocco over its Sahara.
