The government of Saint Kitts and Nevis expressed its "solidarity with the Moroccan government as it continues to work to preserve its sovereignty and territorial integrity in a peaceful manner in the buffer zone of El Guergarat”.
In a letter to the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Saint Lucia, the Kittitian government, through its Ministry of Foreign Affairs, called for “dialogue and a peaceful resolution of this ongoing issue”, hoping that “the illegal intrusions will cease and stability will be preserved in the region ".
Saint Kitts and Nevis joins Haiti, Grenada, Antigua and Barbuda and Dominica, among several Caribbean countries that expressed their support for the Kingdom of Morocco for its efforts to maintain peace in the region of El Guergarat.
