
The meeting allowed to identify the numerous shared views on issues of common interest and to explore new prospects for cooperation, Mrs. Mercado Pérez told MAP following talks with Mr. Fouad Yazourh, director general of International political affairs at the ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates.
Talks between the two sides focused on bilateral, regional and international issues, and economic cooperation, trade and investment, as well as multilateral issues where the two countries can adopt common positions, she added.
The undersecretary described the political consultations as an important milestone in bringing closer Rabat and Mexico City, highlighting the strategic complementarity between Morocco and Mexico, respectively a gateway to Africa and to Latin America.
Mrs. Mercado Pérez also renewed the commitment of both parties to work together to address common challenges and promote a dynamic and mutually beneficial bilateral partnership.
