The Republic of Gabon opened Friday a consulate general in Laayoune.
The opening ceremony of the consulate was chaired by minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, and his Gabonese counterpart, Alain-Claude Bilie-By-Nze.
This is the third diplomatic representation inaugurated in Laayoune, after the honorary consulate of Côte d'Ivoire, which opened last June, and the consulate general of the Union of the Comoros, which started providing its services in December.
