
During a declaration to the press, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Union of the Comoros, Mr. Dhoihir Dhoulkamal pointed out that The Union of the Comoros reiterates its unwavering support for the Moroccan sovereignty over the Sahara and the autonomy plan under Moroccan sovereignty as the only serious and pragmatic solution to this regional dispute.
"We renew our unwavering support for Morocco's territorial integrity and continue to support the autonomy plan proposed by Morocco as the only serious and pragmatic solution to this regional dispute".
On this occasion, Mr. Dhoulkamal recalled that the Comoros was the first country to open a consulate in Laayoune, stressing that "when we visit the region and look at the level of development achieved under the impetus of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, we can only encourage and continue to call on the world to support this pragmatic vision, which consists in putting in place this solution which is the only way to promote peace and stability in the region".
He also praised the strong and fruitful relations between the two countries, noting that his country will continue to work with Morocco to further promote their partnership.
In this respect, the head of Comorian diplomacy recalled the various agreements signed in the fields of education, new technologies and energy, praising Morocco for having been one of the major promoters and sponsors of the "Emerging Comoros" plan.
