His Majesty the King Congratulates Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala on Her Appointment as Head of WTO
In this message, His Majesty the King extended his hearty congratulations to Okonjo-Iweala for the confidence placed in her by the member countries of the Organization, in recognition of her managerial skills and her high professionalism shown at the level of the various senior positions entrusted to her, whether within the sister Federal Republic of Nigeria or internationally.
The Sovereign also expressed to Okonjo-Iweala his sincere wishes for success in leading this important world organization, adding that he is convinced that she will give a strong impetus to the actions of the WTO and will contribute to the achievement of its objectives, thanks to her recognized expertise and professional competence.
In this context, His Majesty the King assured the new Director General of the WTO of the Kingdom of Morocco's continued support for the various constructive programs and initiatives launched by the organization in order to achieve global and sustainable development in the world in general, and in Africa in particular, especially during this difficult economic situation caused by the spread of the covid-19 pandemic.
