His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Commander of the Faithful, sent a message of condolences to His Holiness Pope Francis following the passing on Saturday of Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI, at the age of 95.
In the message, the Sovereign said he learned with deep sorrow the news of the death of Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI, may God have him in His holy mercy.
On this painful occasion, HM the King expresses to His Holiness Pope Francis and, through him, to the Christian world and the Catholic Church in particular, His deep condolences and sincere feelings of compassion, imploring the Most High to grant them patience and comfort and to surround the deceased with His infinite mercy.
