In this message, His Majesty the King expresses to Sidi Ould Tah His warmest congratulations and His best wishes of success in his high office.
“Your election to this high office reflects the esteem of the members of the Bank's Board of Governors for your wealth of experience and the professionalism you have demonstrated in the various economic and financial positions you have held, whether in your brotherly country, Mauritania, or at the head of multilateral banking institutions,” the Sovereign wrote.
His Majesty the King expresses His conviction that with these credentials, Sidi Ould Eltah will give a strong impetus to the actions of this Banking Group and strengthen its position and leading role in supporting the efforts of sustainable and comprehensive development of Africa.
The Sovereign assures Sidi Ould Tah that the Kingdom of Morocco shall spare no effort in supporting the new AfDB President in achieving his noble objectives and backing all its strategic initiatives in order to support all regional and international member States in financing their infrastructure projects and achieving development and economic integration objectives.
