In this message, His Majesty the King expresses to Ali Youssouf His warmest congratulations and His sincere wishes of success in the exercise of his high functions.

The Sovereign says that the confidence placed in Ali Youssouf is a mark of recognition and consideration of his competence as a great statesman in the brotherly country of Djibouti, as well as of his proven diplomatic experience, his professionalism and his noble human qualities.

“We are totally convinced that the African Union Commission will find in your person an experienced leader, concerned and committed to defending the issues of development, peace and security on our African continent”, His Majesty the King emphasizes.

In this respect, the Sovereign assures the new AU Commission Chairperson of the Kingdom of Morocco’s absolute support for all initiatives aiming to serve these issues, to promote active solidarity and constructive cooperation between African countries, and to meet the various challenges they face to achieve greater prosperity and comprehensive development.
