His Majesty King Mohammed VI sent a message of condolences and compassion to the President of the Republic of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, following the terrorist attack that targeted Taksim Square in central Istanbul, killing several innocent people.
In this message, the Sovereign affirms that He "was deeply saddened" by this despicable terrorist attack, expressing to President Erdoğan, and through him, to the bereaved families and the Turkish people His heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathy.
HM the King prays that Almighty God comfort the Turkish president and people, and wishes the injured a speedy recovery.
Reiterating His strong condemnation of this cowardly attack, HM the King reaffirms to Mr. Erdoğan the Kingdom of Morocco's support and its full solidarity with the brotherly Turkish people, and its denunciation of all forms of terrorism, a heinous phenomena which jeopardizes the security and lives of citizens and is utterly incompatible with human values.
