HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa chairs the annual diplomatic charity gala dinner in Rabat
Placed under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, this event, which brings together generous patrons around the foreign diplomatic corps accredited to HM the King, has become an annual event initiated by the Diplomatic Foundation and foreign embassies in Rabat, in favor of the needy, with the participation of diplomats, businessmen and artists.
The Diplomatic Charity Gala aims to raise funds to contribute to social action in Morocco, through the financing of many projects, especially in health, education and training of young girls.
In a speech, the ambassador of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in Rabat, Al Bashir Ibrahim Saleh Al Husseini congratulated HM King Mohammed VI and the entire Royal Family, as well as the Moroccan people for the historic victory of the national soccer team and its qualification for the quarterfinals of the FIFA World Cup Qatar-2022, a great achievement that honors the Arab world and the African continent.
This annual diplomatic charity gala, organized by the Diplomatic Foundation in partnership with the embassies accredited in Rabat, is intended as a vehicle for solidarity and support for charitable projects in the Kingdom, said the diplomat.
Saleh Al Husseini also expressed his pride in Morocco and the achievements of the Kingdom, welcoming the cooperation between Morocco and the Federal Republic of Nigeria and development projects carried out in this framework, including the Moroccan-Nigerian Gas Pipeline.
He also highlighted the efforts made by the leaders of the two brotherly countries, HM King Mohammed VI and President Muhammadu Buhari, to strengthen bilateral relations in several areas.
For his part, the President of the Diplomatic Foundation, Abdelati Habek, expressed his high appreciation and deep gratitude to HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa for her constant support and effective chairmanship of this diplomatic charity gala.
After highlighting the tireless efforts and noble initiatives of Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Hasnaa, Habek stressed that the organization of this Gala, which has become an annual tradition, finds its essence in the approach of HM King Mohammed VI, Commander of the Faithful, who has always called for helping the poor and needy, thus enshrining, under His wise leadership, the values of mutual aid, solidarity and compassion within society.
Thereafter, the Ecu of the Diplomatic Foundation was given to HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa, who posed on this occasion for a photo-souvenir with the organizing committee.
This Gala dinner was embellished by an eclectic artistic program and shows animated by Bissau-Guinean artist Patche Di Rima, singer Lamia Zaidi (Arabic song), Moroccan singer Abdelhafid Douzi (Moroccan song) and the baritone of Moroccan origin David Serero (opera).
On her arrival, HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa reviewed a section of the Auxiliary Forces that was paying the honors, before being greeted by the Minister of Industry and Trade, Ryad Mezzour, the Minister of Solidarity, Social Integration and Family, Aawatif Hayar, the Minister Delegate in charge of Investment, Convergence and Evaluation of Public Policies, Mohcine Jazouli, the ambassador of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in Rabat Al Bashir Ibrahim Saleh Al Husseini, the ambassador of Guinea-Bissau in Rabat, Filomena Mendes Tipote, the wali of the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region, Mohamed Yacoubi, the president of the Regional Council, Rachid El Abdi, the President of the Communal Council of the city of Rabat, Asmaa Rhlalou, the President of the Prefectural Council of Rabat, Abdelaziz Derouiche, the President of the Diplomatic Foundation, Abdelati Habek, and the members of the organizing committee.
