INAUGURATION OF THE EMBASSY OF CABO VERDE IN RABAT
In a statement to the press after the ceremony, Mr. Rui Alberto De Figueiredo Soares described the inauguration moment as being special and very important, expressing his thanks to the Moroccan authorities for their collaboration.
This collaboration has made it possible to go very quickly, he said, recalling his visit last June to Morocco, during which the announcement was made of the imminent installation of a resident Embassy of the Republic of Cabo Verde in Rabat.
He stressed that this embassy will allow to start a new era in bilateral relations and will offer the opportunity to his country to benefit from the successful Moroccan experience in several areas. In this regard, he said: "We have much to learn from the successful Moroccan experience in various areas of cooperation".
He also said that his stay in the Kingdom will be marked by the opening, Wednesday, of a Consulate General of his country in Dakhla. It will also be an opportunity to discuss with Mr. Bourita the prospects of bilateral cooperation. In this regard, the embassy intends to develop several activities for the good of bilateral relations.
