Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry has welcomed the decision of the United States to recognize Morocco's full sovereignty over all of its territories.
"This step contributes to achieving a just and lasting solution to the dispute over the Moroccan Sahara," the Kuwaiti ministry said Sunday in a statement.
The ministry seized this opportunity to recall that Kuwait supports the sovereignty and the territorial integrity of Morocco. US President Trump on Thursday signed a proclamation recognizing the full sovereignty of the Kingdom of Morocco over the entire region of the Moroccan Sahara.
The United States of America has also decided to open a consulate in Dakhla, with a primarily economic vocation, to encourage U.S. investments and contribution to economic and social development.
