This meeting touched on issues of common interest and affirmed the will to give a new impetus to relations between the two countries.

In this regard, Mrs. Ten Jua reaffirmed the unwavering position of her country in supporting the Moroccanness of the Sahara and in defending the territorial integrity of the Kingdom. This commitment has resulted in the opening of the Santomean Consulate General in Laayoun at the start of this year.

On this occasion, the Santomean MFA expressed her support for the peaceful actions undertaken by the Moroccan authorities in order to restore the free movement of goods and people in El Guergarat between Morocco and Mauritania.

At the end of these talks, the two Ministers signed a bilateral cooperation roadmap that will give a new impetus to the bilateral cooperation in various sectors, namely, education and training, technical cooperation and economic development.
