During this meeting, the two officials welcomed the excellent relations between Rabat and Paris, highlighting the will of His Majesty King Mohammed VI and President Emmanuel Macron to consolidate the exceptional partnership between the two countries through permanent dialogue between the two leaders.

Mr. Le Drian praised Morocco's exemplary management of the Covid-19 pandemic crisis and renewed France's support for the strategic partnership between Morocco and the European Union (EU).

France also reiterated its support for Morocco's serious and credible efforts as a pole of peace, stability, development and growth.

The two ministers reaffirmed their willingness to continue to consult and coordinate their actions within multilateral and international bodies on regional and international issues of common interest.
