The talks between the two ministers focused on strengthening cooperation relations between Morocco and the Republic of Gabon, as well as on subjects of common interest.
The Gabonese official said he had reviewed with his Moroccan counterpart the progress of the transition timetable in Gabon, the conclusions of the inclusive national dialogue, and ways of further strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
"I came to see the Minister to ask for the support of Morocco, a member of the African Union's Peace and Security Council (PSC-AU), in lifting the sanctions on Gabon", said the Gabonese Minister, pointing out that these sanctions were fully lifted two months ago by the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS).
The Gabonese Minister also expressed his satisfaction with relations between Morocco and Gabon, highlighting his desire to take bilateral relations to the next level.
The talks took place on the sidelines of the 15th session of the Islamic Summit Conference, scheduled for May 4-5 in Banjul, in the presence of Mr. Mohamed Methqal, ambassador, director general of the Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation (AMCI).
