MFA Nasser Bourita Holds Talks with Kazakh Counterpart
During this meeting, the two ministers commended the excellent relations between the two countries, stressing the importance of raising them to the level of the aspirations of His Majesty King Mohammed VI and President Kassym Jomart Tokayev.
The two ministers welcomed the decision of the Republic of Kazakhstan to open a resident embassy in Rabat and the appointment of the first Kazakh ambassador resident in Morocco, which will undoubtedly give a new impetus to the dynamics of cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
Stressing the existence of a large potential for the development of economic and cultural ties between the two countries, the two ministers agreed to organize political consultations at the level of Foreign ministers, as soon as the health situation allows, stressing that, in this regard, Mr. Tleuberdi responded favorably to the invitation of MFA Bourita to pay a working visit to Morocco.
MFA Bourita and Mr. Tleuberdi also exchanged on the possibilities of cooperation in the fight against Covid-19 and sharing experiences on the various measures undertaken by the two countries in terms of post-pandemic recovery, in this context, MFA Bourita congratulated his counterpart for the launch of Kazakh vaccine (QazVac).
Regarding the national issue, MFA Bourita expressed Morocco's appreciation for the clear, positive and constructive position of Kazakhstan and its continued support for the territorial integrity of Morocco.
The Kazakh minister thanked by the same occasion Morocco for its membership in March 2021 to the Islamic Organization for Food Security, created under the aegis of the OIC, at the initiative of Kazakhstan which hosts its headquarters.
MFA Bourita and Mr. Tleuberdi also agreed to strengthen their coordination within multilateral forums and international fora.
