The Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Mr. Nasser Bourita, held talks, on 02 June 2024 in Seoul, with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Mr. Yusuf Maitama Tuggar.
In a press declaration following their bilateral meeting, Mr. Yusuf Maitama Tuggar pointed out that "Morocco, a leader in several fields, including trade and business, plays a key and pivotal role in strengthening relations between Korea and the African continent."
He highlighted the "historic" relations between Morocco and Nigeria, underlying the two countries' efforts to promote peace, stability and development in Africa.
Mr. Tuggar also spoke of the Nigeria-Morocco gas pipeline project, as well as "cooperation between the two countries in the fields of fertilizers and phosphate,” affirming his country's "readiness" to continue working alongside Morocco in this area.
