Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Mr. Nasser Bourita, on Monday held talks in Rabat with Mr. François Beya, Special advisor of the President of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in charge of security matters.
These talks take place following the message sent by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, to Congolese President Mr. Félix Tshisekedi, and which was handed down last December by the Minister Delegate to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Mr. Mohcine Jazouli.
During these talks, the two officials discussed bilateral relations and the means to further strengthen them.
They also discussed the security challenges in the sub-region and the African continent, in a context marked by the terrorist threat.
These talks were held on the eve of the start of the term of Congolese President Mr. Félix Tshisekedi, who will assume the rotating presidency of the African Union (AU).
