MFA Nasser Bourita Holds Talks with Yemeni Counterpart

Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Mr. Nasser Bourita, held talks on January 18, 2021, via videoconference with his Yemeni counterpart, Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak. On this occasion, MFA Bourita renewed his congratulations to his Yemeni counterpart on his appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, expressing the support of the Kingdom of Morocco for the new Yemeni government.
He also expressed hope that this government would be able to carry out its duties in the best of circumstances, in the interests of the brotherly Yemeni people and alleviate their suffering. The Moroccan minister also voiced support for international efforts aimed at preserving Yemen's unity, stability and national sovereignty.
The Yemeni Foreign Minister renewed on this occasion his country's position in support of the Moroccanness of the Sahara and the Autonomy Initiative, as the only solution to settle this regional conflict. Talks also touched on the means to develop bilateral relations as well as on regional and Arab issues.
