MFA NASSER BOURITA RECEIVES THE British Minister of State for the Middle East, North Africa, South Asia and the United Nations
At a press briefing following this meeting, Lord Tariq Ahmad pointed out that The United Kingdom and Morocco believe that a two-State solution is the path to promote peace and security in the Middle East.
The United Kingdom and Morocco believe that the ultimate goal shall be the two-State solution, an Israeli State living side by side with a Palestinian State in peace and security, Lord Tariq Ahmad noted.
He underlined that Rabat and London "will work together towards this end", with their key partners, notably the United States and Gulf countries, while recognizing that "it is a challenging time, but one should never give up on hope".
In this regard, the British minister spoke of "the humanitarian tragedy in Gaza", stressing that Morocco and the United Kingdom will endeavor to settle this situation.
He also noted that ties between the United Kingdom and Morocco "are stronger than ever", adding that they "are based not only on mutual trust", but also on "the strength that each country brings".
The minister underlined that the two countries are working on several issues of common interest.
