The Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, Mr. Nasser Bourita, received, on October 09, 2023 in Rabat, the diplomatic advisor to the President and Minister of State of Guinea-Bissau, Ms. Suzi Carla Barbosa, bearer of a message to HM King Mohammed VI from the President of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau, H.E. Mr. Umaro Sissoco Embaló.

"In my capacity as a Special Envoy of the President of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau, I am bearing a message to the Most High Attention of His Majesty the King," Ms. Barbosa stated in a press statement following the meeting.

"The Republic of Guinea-Bissau maintains fraternal ties with the Kingdom of Morocco, diplomatic relations that were established long before our attainment of independence," she expressed.

She recalled that the late Mohammed V "was among the first leaders to lend his invaluable support to our struggle for independence, a generosity for which we are sincerely grateful."

Furthermore, Barbosa expressed her gratitude to the Moroccan people for their ongoing support to Guinea-Bissau.
