On his third visit to Morocco, Mr. Le Drian was accompanied by the Ambassador to Rabat, Mrs. Hélène Le Gal, Mr. Samer Melki and Mr. Christophe Farnaud, respectively, advisor to the Minister and Director of North Africa and the Middle East Affairs.
During this meeting, the two ministers discussed the exceptional bilateral relations which continue to strengthen on several levels. They also discussed topics of common interest, such as the Libyan crisis and the security situation in the Sahel.
Franco-Moroccan relations owe their excellence to a commitment at the highest level of the two countries, recently renewed during the last meeting of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, May God Assist Him, and the President Emmanuel Macron.
Bilateral relations are marked by a Multidimensional Strategic Partnership as well as the regular and solid dialogue. In this sense, French officials have increased their visits to Morocco during the current year, the most recent being that of the Minister of the Interior, Mr. Gerald Darmanin, in October.
