This meeting is part of Tello Lopez’s working visit in Morocco onMay 12-20 in order to seal a twinning agreement between the municipality of Pueblo Libre and Laayoune.

In a statement to the press, the mayor of Pueblo Libre affirmed her support for the efforts of the Peruvian Congress initiative, which created a Group of support for the Moroccan autonomy initiative, stressing that her visit to Morocco aims to strengthen bilateral relations.

She also noted having discussed with Bourita ways to strengthen the ties of friendship between Morocco and the Republic of Peru, including the municipality of Pueblo Libre, noting in this sense that the Peruvian Congress has set the date of November 30, to celebrate the visit of HM King Mohammed VI to Peru in 2004.

"These celebrations will be an opportunity to make known the Moroccan culture to the inhabitants of Pueblo Libre, through artistic and culinary events as well as creations highlighting the Moroccan handicrafts," added Tello Lopez.
