Mr. Ohana told the press, following his talks with Mr. Bourita: "Once again, I would like to take this opportunity to salute the courageous leadership of HM King Mohammed VI in strengthening relations between nations, establishing peace and promoting Moroccan values".

He also noted that his meeting with Mr. Bourita covered a number of issues designed to pave the way for strengthening and consolidating relations between the Kingdom of Morocco and Israel.

Referring to his visit to the Kingdom's Parliament, Mr. Ohana, who is of Moroccan origin, said that this was the first time that a Knesset Speaker had been invited to the parliament of a Muslim country.

He added that this historic visit was no coincidence, but reflected the Moroccan values he had inherited from his origins, his upbringing and the environment in which he grew up.
