Morocco’s Embassy in Kiev Urges Moroccan Nationals in Ukraine to Observe Safety Measures, Underlines Efforts to Ease Transit Process of Those Wishing to Leave the Country
Given the developments in Ukraine, and following its statement issued on February 12, 2022, the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Kiev calls on all Moroccan nationals who chose to stay on Ukrainian soil, to observe safety measures issued by the relevant Ukrainian authorities.
The Embassy calls on Moroccan citizens in Ukraine not to leave their places of residence except in cases of extreme necessity, to keep their identification documents and to maintain regular contact with the Embassy as well as with the crisis cell set-up for this purpose.
Regarding citizens who decided to leave the country, the Kingdom’s Embassy, in close coordination with the Moroccan Embassies in neighboring countries, is facilitating the transit process for Moroccan nationals from Ukraine in safe conditions.
In this regard, and taking into account the closure of Ukrainian airspace, Morocco’s Embassy urges those wishing to leave Ukrainian territory to go to the border crossings to enter the following countries: Romania, Hungary and Slovakia, where reception and support units will be established.
The Embassy also calls for contacting the crisis cell at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates on the following two toll-free numbers: From Ukraine: 0800502683, and from Morocco: 0537663300.
