
The Kingdom is one of the five major economies in Africa, which represents a huge potential for bilateral relations, said the Canadian minister who was giving a conference on the theme "the State of the World", organized by the HEM School in partnership with the Embassy of Canada in Morocco.
He also described as historic his visit to Morocco, the first by a Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Kingdom, noting that he came with "a message of security, prosperity and stability".
On another topic, the Canadian official noted that trade between Morocco and Canada amounts to nearly a billion dollars per year, deeming that the two countries can do better together thanks to the young population of the Kingdom and the great changes they can bring.
Champagne also recalled that more than 100,000 Moroccans are established in Canada, which contributes to the enrichment of the Canadian community, explaining that Moroccan students living in his country are the best ambassadors for bilateral relations.
He said that Morocco and Canada can develop interesting partnerships in the education sector given the language and culture that unite the two countries.
