Morocco, Member of OIF High-level Delegation for Mali
This appointment is a recognition of Morocco's commitment to peace and regional stability and of the Kingdom's wise and constructive role, under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, May God Assist Him, in Mali, but also in Libya and elsewhere.
Mr. Moha Ouali Tagma has been a diplomat for almost 40 years. He was notably Morocco's ambassador in Dakar (Senegal) and Warsaw (Poland). He also served as a member of the Permanent Mission of Morocco to the UN in Geneva. At the end of his term as head of the Africa Directorate at the ministry, Mr. Tagma was appointed Ambassador in Abuja (Nigeria) in 2016.
The OIF delegation is headed by Cheikh Tidiane Gadio, former Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Senegal and currently the Vice-President of the National Assembly.
The establishment of the high-level delegation is part of the resolution adopted on August 25 by the 111th extraordinary session of the Permanent Council of La Francophonie (CPF), to support the process of restoring democratic institutions in Mali and contribute to finding sustainable and credible solutions to end the crisis so as to meet the expectations of Malian citizens, according to the OIF.
