The 38th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the African Union (AU) kicked off on Saturday at the pan-African organization’s headquarters in Addis Ababa, with Morocco taking part.
Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, MFA Nasser Bourita, is representing His Majesty King Mohammed VI in this summit.
The summit’s agenda mainly includes electing the Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson of the AU Commission (AUC).
The summit will also address other issues, including institutional reform of the AU and the African Continental Free Trade Area.
