The 46th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council of the African Union (AU) kicked off in Addis Ababa on Wednesday, with Morocco taking part.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, MFA Nasser Bourita, is chairing the Moroccan delegation at this session, which is being held as a prelude to the Ordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State, scheduled for February 15-16.
The Executive Council meeting will be marked by the election of five members of the AU Peace and Security Council (PSC).
It will also elect six AU Commissioners and consider the annual report on the activities of the Union and its organs.
The meeting will also examine the draft agenda and resolutions to be submitted to the 38th AU Summit.
