Mr. Bourita Receives his Turkmen Peer, Bearer of a Message from Turkmenistan President to His Majesty King, Mohammed VI
Meredov is on a visit to Morocco, the first of its kind since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 1992. It was an opportunity for the Kingdom and Turkmenistan to sign three agreements aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation relations in several fields.
These include a memorandum of understanding for the establishment of a joint commission, an agreement on the abolition of visas for holders of diplomatic and service passports between the two countries, and a document setting out a roadmap between the foreign ministries of the two countries for the period 2020-2021, which aims to establish an action plan for bilateral cooperation in politics and diplomacy, legal cooperation, trade and the economy, as well as culture.
The agreements were signed by minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Mr. Nasser Bourita, and his Turkmen counterpart, Rachid Meredov.
