Brussels - In a statement to MAP on the sidelines of his participation in a meeting of the European Parliament's Committee on Foreign Affairs (AFET), al-Maliki stressed HM the King's constant support for Al-Quds Asharif and the Palestinian question, which "the Sovereign has always shown".

He added that the ongoing coordination between HM the King and his brother president Mahmoud Abbas is of great importance in order to face the upcoming "challenges", within the framework of solidarity between Arab and Islamic countries, especially States with regional influence such as Morocco.

Al-Maliki underlined that Morocco has always stood by the Palestinian people and their cause, "which is not at all surprising on the part of the Kingdom and its people".
