Post-Covid Recovery: Economic Diplomacy Mobilized Pursuant To Royal Instructions
The training course was inaugurated by Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Abroad, Mr. Nasser Bourita, in the presence of representatives of several sectoral departments, national agencies and the Moroccan employers' body.
In his opening speech, Mr. Bourita recalled the Very High Royal Directives laid down in the Speech delivered by His Majesty the King on the occasion of the 21st anniversary of the Throne Day.
The implementation of the roadmap for curbing the effects of the pandemic is based on the initiation of an economic recovery plan, the injection of 120 billion dirhams into the national economy, the creation of a strategic investment fund, and the generalization of health coverage. In addition, the Minister said that while the coronavirus crisis has brought a lot of difficulties, it also offered a large number of opportunities arising from the new circumstances of the global economic architecture.
Mr. Bourita considered that the Covid-19 was an opportunity to reposition Morocco in the current global restructuring, and to promote better integration of the Kingdom into value chains, while allowing a better integration into international exchanges.
In this context of economic recovery, the Minister underlined the major role of economic diplomacy, while calling for the mobilization of a reactive diplomatic network, recalling the many strategic and competitive assets of the Kingdom.
He also presented the opportunities for both Moroccan and foreign economic stakeholders.
Since the accession of His Majesty the King to the Throne, Morocco has resolutely embarked on a dynamic of substantial transformation of its infrastructure, its economy, its sector-based strategies and its business environment, concluded Mr. Bourita.
