Saturday 21 November 2020
Panama expressed its concern at the recent tensions in El Guergarat which are a threat to peace and security in the region.
In a statement of its Ministry of Foreign Affairs, issued on November 20, the Republic of Panama confirms its support for the efforts of the Secretary General of the United Nations to put an end to hostilities and relaunch the political process. Panama also urges him to appoint, as soon as possible, a new Personal Envoy.
Additionally, Panama remains confident in the goodwill of both parties to adopt a new spirit that would put an end to this escalation and alert on the health and economic crisis that could worsen the situation.
