Through this message, which aired during the inauguration ceremony co-chaired by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Mr. Nasser Bourita and the Emirati Ambassador in Rabat, H.E Mr. Al Asri Saeed Ahmed Aldhaheri, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan reaffirmed the depth of relations between our two countries, as demonstrated by the decision to establish a Consulate General in Laayoun.

The Emirati Minister also seized this opportunity to recall that relations between Morocco and the United Arab Emirates are at the highest level and were established by the late King, His Majesty Hassan II and Late Sheikh Zayed Ben Sultan Al Nahyane, since 1971.

In his message, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan said that he takes pride in the excellent ties of fraternity and friendship between Morocco and the United Arab Emirates, stating that : "The UAE is constant in supporting Morocco in the defense of its just causes in various regional and international forums. This support reflects the fruitful bonds of fraternity and cooperation between the two brotherly states".

The Emirati Minister commended the pioneering role of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, May God Assist Him, in pursuing mutual coordination and consultation, with the wise leadership of the Emirati State, in terms of upholding peace, stability and security in the region, as well as supporting international and UN efforts aimed at resolving conflicts at the regional and global levels.
