Spanish Foreign Minister: Morocco Has Right to Delimit Its Sea Domain

Spanish Foreign Minister Arancha González Laya said, on Friday in Rabat, that Morocco has the right to delimit its maritime domain.
At a joint press conference with Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Abroad Nasser Bourita, González Laya said that, under the international law, Morocco has the right to delimit its maritime domain in compliance with the provisions of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.
Morocco has exercised its right by initiating a legal process intended to delimit its maritime domain, said the Spanish minister.
She also stressed that Morocco has reiterated its commitment not to impose any fait accompli or unilateral measures, noting that the two countries will work in this direction.
