Turkey follows measures taken by Morocco to ensure free movement in El Guergarat
Sunday 15 November 2020
Ankara - Turkey said on Sunday that it’s following measures taken by Morocco to ensure the free movement of goods and people at the El Guergarat crossing point.
In response to a question on the operation led by Morocco in the El Guergarat area, on the border with Mauritania, Turkish Foreign Ministry spokesman, Mr. Hami Aksoy, stressed the importance of maintaining the fluidity of movement of goods and people at the El Guergarat crossing.
Turkey supports the efforts made to reach a just and lasting political solution to the Sahara issue, within the framework of United Nations Security Council resolutions, Mr. Aksoy said.
