Fifth Global Alliance Meeting For the Implementation of The Two States Solution in Rabat
Compendium of Success Stories and Achievements
Introduction
The Global Alliance for the Implementation of the Two-State Solution serves as a key diplomatic platform for advancing meaningful progress toward a just and lasting peace in the Middle East. By fostering close coordination between governments, international organizations, civil society actors, and local communities, the Alliance works to translate existing diplomatic efforts and success stories into tangible, irreversible steps toward peace.
The fifth meeting of the Global Alliance for the Implementation of the Two State Solution to be held on 20th May under the theme “Sustaining Momentum for the Peace Process: Lessons Learned, Success Stories and Steps Forward” aims to:
Assess the impact of past peace efforts by identifying key lessons learned and ensuring that previous achievements in the Israeli-Palestinian peace process are consolidated and not reversed;
Highlight success stories by showcasing grassroots initiatives that have effectively fostered dialogue, trust-building, and stability, and explore how these achievements can be scaled up or adapted to sustain diplomatic momentum;
Strengthen international and regional cooperation by examining mechanisms to sustain diplomatic engagement, enhance coordination among key actors, and reinforce Palestinian governance structures and the economic viability of the Palestinian State;
Take stock of specific past efforts to support the Palestinian economy, with a specific focus on fostering economic integration of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, and assess their successes and lessons learned;
Develop policy recommendations that focus on advancing confidence-building measures, enhancing inclusive dialogue, and identifying innovative approaches to revitalizing exchanges among governments, civil society, local communities and businesses.
As an outcome of the fifth meeting of the Global Alliance for the Implementation for the Two-State solution, a Compendium of Success Stories and Achievements contributing to the implementation of the Two-State solution will be consolidated based on government /organization contributions to the Rabat meeting.
The Compendium aims to compile theses success stories for further dissemination and acknowledgement, of peace supporters and actors contributing to concrete peace efforts in the region. Hence, demonstrating concretely that contributing to peace in the region is possible.
The Compendium is a living document, complementing the ongoing efforts for peace, meant to showcase these efforts, which will be presented as a contribution of the Rabat meeting to the work of the Two State solution UN High-level in New York, June 2025.
As a contribution to the objectives of this effort, your esteemed Government/Organization is kindly invited to share its successful stories and achievements contributing to Middle East Peace Process following three clusters:
Initiatives contributing to existing and future peace agreements;
Strengthening Palestinian Institutions and Governance;
Economic foundations for Peace.
Please note that your esteemed Government/Organization can submit multiple, activities/projects/initiatives per each cluster.
Please share your contribution preferably before the Meeting on May 20th 2025 in order for it to be included during the Rabat Meeting and other upcoming opportunities.
