HM the King Extends Condolences to U.S. President Following Midair Collision in Washington D.C.

HM King Mohammed VI sent a message of condolences and compassion to U.S. President Donald Trump, following the midair collision between a passenger plane and a military helicopter near Washington D.C. airport, which resulted in numerous casualties.

In this message, the Sovereign said He was deeply saddened by the news of this tragic accident, which occurred on Wednesday evening.

On this painful occasion, HM the King conveys to President Trump, the grieving families and the American people, His sincere condolences and deepest sympathy.

"May the victims of this tragedy rest in peace," wrote His Majesty the King. "Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the bereaved."
