This Strategic Dialogue was launched in London on July 5, 2018, with the objective of consolidating the historical ties between the two Kingdoms and further strengthening bilateral relations.
It is based on several structuring themes, namely, the political and diplomatic component as well as cooperation in terms of security, economy, culture and education.
Working groups have been established under each cooperation pillar to strengthen exchanges and consultation on priority bilateral issues and to identify new cooperation opportunities in these areas.
The 2nd session of the Strategic Dialogue was held in Rabat on September 17, 2019, which resulted in the identification of strategic issues in bilateral relations. The 3rd was held in London on December 8, 2021, under the chairmanship of Mr. Bourita and his British counterpart Ms. Elisabeth Truss.
During this session of the Strategic Dialogue, the two ministers agreed to strengthen political dialogue, deepen economic relations and security cooperation and promote human and cultural ties. They also reaffirmed their common vision for the establishment of a strategic partnership between the two countries.
This 4th session of the Strategic Dialogue, in addition to allowing the strengthening of the strategic partnership between the two countries, enabled to note the common commitments to support sustainable agriculture and food security in Africa.
