
During this session, the two parties discussed bilateral relations and means to further strengthen them, especially cooperation for development and economic exchanges. The parties also raised a host of issues of interest to both countries and their respective regions.
"For El Salvador, this session is of paramount importance in our strategy to deepen our ties with Morocco, a key partner and a doorway to the African continent," said the Salvadoran vice minister, who expressed her country's will to further strengthen ties of friendship and collaboration with Morocco.
"Currently, Morocco is one of our country's main allies in Africa, and the first on the continent to host a Salvadoran embassy, making it a bridge to strengthen and expand ties with this region," added Mira.
For his part, Yazourh highlighted the progress made by the Salvadoran government, particularly in terms of security, which enhances development in this country. He expressed hope to see bilateral ties develop further to face current challenges.
"For us, this is an opportunity to work together so that the interests of El Salvador are integrated into Morocco's agenda, and vice versa. El Salvador is a partner that we have chosen, and with whom we wish to carry out joint actions and evolve our relationship," said the Foreign ministry official.
During this session, both parties committed to working to implement cooperation projects in areas with high added value, such as tourism, renewable energy, health, education, environment and culture.
They also underlined the opportunities offered on both sides to stimulate the growth of economic exchange through trade and investment.
The meeting took place in the presence of El Salvador ambassador to Morocco, Ignacio de Cossío, chargé d'affaires of the Moroccan embassy in San Salvador, Mr. Brahim Baddi, director of American affairs, Mrs. Nezha Attahar, director of global affairs, Mr. Ismail Chekkori, and head of the Latin America division, Mrs. Saloua Bichri.
