Secretary General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) Mr. Jassim Al Budaiwi hailed on Thursday in Makkah the pioneering initiatives launched by His Majesty King Mohammed VI in favor of Africa.
Speaking at the joint ministerial meeting of the GCC states and Morocco, at which the Kingdom was represented by Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Expatriates Mr. Nasser Bourita, the Council's Secretary General hailed “the pioneering initiatives launched by His Majesty King Mohammed VI in favor of Africa. These include the Royal Initiative to promote Sahel countries' access to the Atlantic Ocean, the Atlantic African States Process and the Nigeria-Morocco gas pipeline project”.
He in turn praised the reforms undertaken under the Sovereign's leadership in the political, economic and social spheres, which made of Morocco a credible and partner of choice, as well as a hub of stability in the region.
