MFA Nasser Bourita Receives His Gambian Counterpart
During a press briefing after his talks with MFA Bourita, Dr. Tangara said, "this is my first official visit to Morocco following [...] the formation of the new government in the Gambia; a fact that fully demonstrates the excellence of relations between our two countries."
He hence recalled that the Gambia was the first country to open a consulate in the city of Dakhla, which constitutes an integral part of the Moroccan territory.
In this sense, he noted that both countries are preparing to organize a joint Moroccan-Gambian commission in Banjul, adding that a team from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates is currently in the Gambia to open a diplomatic representation there.
Dr. Tangara also welcomed the support provided by the Kingdom in the field of training of Gambian officials.
