Morocco and Italy had concluded, in November 2019, a declaration of multidimensional strategic partnership, which aims, in this case, to maintain a permanent and in-depth dialogue on all sectors of common interest, including the fight against terrorism and international crime. This instrument of cooperation also aims to deepen the dialogue and cooperation in the legal and migration field.

Rome and Rabat have stressed, on several occasions, the quality of relations that unite them and the common desire to boost bilateral cooperation in various areas and give a new dynamic to exchanges.
